To get into the university you need the requirements of a good gpa, official transcripts, write a good essay, get good sat scores and for the design majors , a great portfolio.

You'll only get lucky to get in if you have a hearing impairment. Otherwise, your ACT score has got to reach above 22 in order to get in. You might want to take a bit of time to prove that you can contribute to the technology areas of your high school career, you can contribute there.

APPLY EARLY. Even if your not coming to rit, the sooner you apply the better. Im an average student and I got in, dont think you cant get in somewhere because how you did in highschool, just apply early and stay positive liek i did. RIT was the only school i applied to, and only one i wanted to go to. I applied early November. Im glad i got in :)

Names to get in EE: Hoople and Moon. They're good, but prepare to work your ass off.

If you decide to go to RIT, go and visit. Talk to students, not to the administration. Meet with your future department head, and interview with him; you not only will have a better chance of being accepted, but you also will have a better understanding of how your next 4-5 years will be.
